New Land Speed Record!

I’ve been really cranking out cedar fences lately! I must be getting well practiced, because I actually set a personal speed record on this one. It was 70 ft long and was probably the smoothest fence job I’ve ever done. I barely had to trim a single board! I probably could have done it in one day if I hadn’t needed to allow the concrete to set overnight.
Despite flying through this one, it came out straight as an arrow on top!
For this one, I used my usual premium 7/8-inch-thick Japanese cedar pickets, which are nearly twice as thick as the pickets you find at big-box stores. This customer also went with galvanized steel PostMaster posts, which I like to hide behind a single picket to give the fence a more elegant, all-wood look.
If I had been thinking, I would have taken a picture of the corner of the yard where the new fence joined the older fence, which had 2 3/8-inch round metal posts, to show the aesthetic difference. Maybe next time!
Anyhow, this one turned out great! Quite a few neighbors thought so too. I’m hoping this turns into one of those neighborhoods where I rebuild every fence on the block!
